Sunday services

Our morning service in the sanctuary begins at 11am and is preceded by tea/coffee/biscuits and a time to mingle and chat from 10.15am onwards in The Hub, our glass-fronted area looking out onto Regent Street.

Our children and young people stay in for the first half of the service including a children’s address before going to their respective age-appropriate Christian education activities elsewhere on our premises (see the note on our Sunday School and crèche facilities, below). They can be picked up afterwards just after 12 noon.

Our weekly 11am service includes praise, prayers, scripture readings, offering and a sermon based on the selected biblical texts for that day normally taken from the church’s reading calendar called The Common Worship Lectionary, which takes us through the Christian seasons on a three-year cycle. Our aim is to live and share God’s good news through corporate worship.

Evening services are held on the first and third Sundays of the month at 7pm.They are generally held in The Hub and are of a more informal nature with praise and prayer but plenty of space for people to discuss, pose questions and reflect together on the evening’s presentation or topic. Our aim is to deepen our faith and consider its implications in contemporary life.
